Nevada ATAP and Crimson Heights

The Autism Treatment Assistance Program (ATAP) is an ADSD-funded autism treatment pathway for children under age 20 with an autism diagnosis from a qualified professional. On this website, ATAP is one of two ADSD-related pathways discussed for Nevada, alongside Supported Living Arrangement (SLA). Crimson Heights Nevada clinics can deliver ABA in home and/or clinic with family involvement when ATAP authorizes services.

Regional centers that matter

ADSD Developmental Services works through regional centers. Rural Regional Center (RRC) covers Mesquite and Moapa Valley/Overton. Desert Regional Center (DRC) covers Las Vegas and Henderson. ATAP referrals and authorizations come from ATAP staff; Crimson Heights does not decide ATAP eligibility.

Overview

What families can expect at Crimson Heights

When authorized, ABA may occur in clinic, home, or community settings. Family therapy, occupational therapy, and outpatient mental health services remain available at every Nevada clinic and may use other funding. Programs run Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 6 PM (Henderson from 9 AM to 6 PM), with Saturday appointments available. Psychological testing includes autism testing at every clinic.

Common questions

Who qualifies for ATAP?

ATAP is for children under age 20 with an autism diagnosis from a qualified professional. ADSD and ATAP staff determine eligibility—not Crimson Heights.

Is ATAP the same as Nevada Medicaid?

No. ATAP is an ADSD-funded pathway. Some children also have Medicaid. Each funding source has its own rules.

Can ATAP ABA happen at home?

Yes, when ATAP authorizes home and/or clinic ABA and Crimson Heights can staff the plan. Confirm settings during intake.
