Guide

ADHD support for children, teens, and adults

Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) can involve ongoing patterns of inattention, hyperactivity, and impulsivity that interfere with functioning. The National Institute of Mental Health notes that ADHD is a developmental disorder that can continue into adulthood (NIMH, Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder). Crimson Heights offers outpatient therapy, family therapy, occupational therapy, and psychological testing across eight clinics.

Overview

How therapy can help

Outpatient care may use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and skills-focused strategies for organization, emotion regulation, and routines. Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills can support distress tolerance when big feelings ride along with ADHD. Family therapy helps caregivers build consistent supports at home.

Overview

Testing, school, and levels of care

Psychological testing at every clinic can include mental health evaluations that help clarify attention and related concerns. When daytime structure is needed for youth, day treatment and PHP are available at every Utah clinic. IOP is available at every clinic. Programs run Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 6 PM (Henderson from 9 AM to 6 PM), with Saturday appointments available.
