Anxiety support for children, teens, and adults

Anxiety can show up as constant worry, avoidance, panic, sleep trouble, or body tension that gets in the way of school, work, and family life. According to the National Institute of Mental Health, anxiety disorders involve more than temporary worry—they can interfere with daily activities (NIMH, Anxiety Disorders). Crimson Heights offers outpatient therapy and related levels of care across Utah and Nevada clinics, with youth day treatment and PHP at every Utah clinic.

Overview

Approaches that may be used

Outpatient care for anxiety may draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills when emotion regulation is part of the picture, and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) when obsessive-compulsive patterns are present. A clinician selects methods based on assessment and scope of practice.

Overview

Levels of care and ages

Support may include outpatient mental health therapy, child and teen therapy, family therapy, intensive outpatient (IOP), and—for youth in Utah—day treatment and PHP. Programs run Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 6 PM (Henderson from 9 AM to 6 PM), with Saturday appointments available. Ages begin at 2 and continue through adulthood. Psychological testing can include mental health evaluations when clinically indicated.
