WENDY WELLER - BCBA, LBA

Behavior Analyst – Mesquite, NV

My name is Emily Andreola. I grew up in New Jersey and moved to Mesquite, Nevada, in 2011. After graduating from UNLV, I began working as a substitute teacher, spending my last seven months in a self-contained autism classroom. That experience sparked my passion for working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). When the 2022 school year ended, I started my journey with Crimson Heights, where I’m dedicated to supporting and empowering children with ASD.

Behavior Analyst Intern – Mesquite, NV

I am Christina Backer, a behavior analyst in training with 11 years of experience working with autism, which began with my own son’s diagnosis at the age of 10. For the past two years, I have been actively working in the field, and I recently earned my Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis from Capella University. I am preparing to sit for my licensure exam soon. My passion for this field drives me to work hard for the families and kiddos I serve, and I truly love what I do with all my heart. My current roles include holding an MS in ABA, working as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), and training to become a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).

FAQ

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is a scientifically-based therapy focused on understanding and improving behaviors. It helps us understand how behavior works, how it’s influenced by the environment, and how learning occurs. ABA uses this knowledge to create meaningful, positive changes in behavior.

Enhancing Communication: Increases language and communication skills.

Building Social Skills: Improves attention, focus, social skills, and academic performance.

Reducing Problem Behaviors: Decreases behaviors that are harmful or hinder learning.

ABA therapy has been effectively used for decades to help children with autism and other developmental disorders develop essential skills.

ABA services may be covered by private health insurance and Medicaid, depending on your specific plan and state regulations.

Each ABA program is tailored to the individual’s needs, with specific goals set and regularly reviewed by a BCBA. Programs cover a range of skill areas and involve both planned and natural learning opportunities.
