Meet our team

Crimson Autism Therapists are licensed professionals with Masters or Doctorate degrees. They include psychologists, family therapists, social workers, and professional counselors. All have at least 2 years and 1,000 hours of hands-on experience, and have been certified by their state’s professional board.

As a founding staff member of Crimson Heights, I am thrilled to contribute to the success of our community. I am a licensed SSW in Utah and hold an RBT certification. I earned my BS in Sociology and Early Child Development from Southern Utah University and am currently pursuing a Master’s in Special Education at Northern Arizona University to become a BCBA. As the director of our Community and Adult Services Department, I am passionate about empowering adults to achieve their goals. Witnessing individuals accomplish what they once thought impossible is the most rewarding aspect of my role. A Southern Utah native, I enjoy outdoor exploration, documentaries, baking, attending concerts, and watching football, particularly when my son plays or when the Denver Broncos compete.

JAMIE PARRY

Community-Based Services Director

I graduated with a BA in Social Sciences from California State University San Marcos and hold Associate Degrees in Behavioral Science and General Education from Palomar College. With 20 years of experience in the field, I am currently pursuing a Master’s in Special Education at Northern Arizona University, where I will become a dedicated BCBA for the Adult Skills Program. I also plan to obtain my SSW in the near future. As the Community-Based Services Coordinator, I work closely with clients and their families in both clinic and community settings. In my role as the Adult Skills Program Leader, I have developed curriculum to help clients acquire essential skills for achieving their goals. It is immensely rewarding to witness the growth of our program and its participants.

Sarah Mariscal

Community-Based Services Coordinator

I hold a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and a Master's in Education, with over five years of experience specializing in behavioral support for the adult population. My passion lies in helping individuals achieve goals they once thought were unattainable, while supporting individuals and families in leading more meaningful lives. Outside of my professional life, I enjoy playing music, particularly guitar and piano, and spending time outdoors with my wife and three children.

FAQ

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is a scientifically-based therapy focused on understanding and improving behaviors. It helps us understand how behavior works, how it’s influenced by the environment, and how learning occurs. ABA uses this knowledge to create meaningful, positive changes in behavior.

Enhancing Communication: Increases language and communication skills.

Building Social Skills: Improves attention, focus, social skills, and academic performance.

Reducing Problem Behaviors: Decreases behaviors that are harmful or hinder learning.

ABA therapy has been effectively used for decades to help children with autism and other developmental disorders develop essential skills.

ABA services may be covered by private health insurance and Medicaid, depending on your specific plan and state regulations.

Each ABA program is tailored to the individual’s needs, with specific goals set and regularly reviewed by a BCBA. Programs cover a range of skill areas and involve both planned and natural learning opportunities.
