Job Description
Under moderate-to-general supervision, the RBT provides support within a structured treatment environment by teaching and modeling healthy behaviors. The position supports client goals focused on mental health, independence, socialization, relationship building, and community integration.
Essential Job Functions
- Conduct functional living skill assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Monitor performance of independent living skills and provide community support.
- Collaborate with community systems including schools, landlords, families, and employers.
- Provide crisis assistance aligned with individual treatment goals.
- Communicate relevant updates with internal teams and authorized providers.
- Document care and services accurately and promptly.
- Maintain confidentiality of protected health information in accordance with company policies and laws.
- Attend and participate in all required staff meetings and planning sessions.
Independent Living Skills May Include:
- Social Skills: Body language, eye contact, initiating conversations, empathy, and leisure/community outings.
- Executive Functioning: Flexibility, budgeting, vocational goal-setting, hygiene, safety, scheduling, and follow-through.
- Communication Skills: Asking for breaks/help, receptive and expressive communication, stress and conflict management.
- Community Access: Transportation, school, job placement, and attending community events and services.
Education & Experience
- Required: High school diploma and 6–12 months of experience with autism, ODD, or conduct disorder.
- Preferred: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in psychology, sociology, social work, or human services. Training in behavior analysis is a plus.
