I was raised in Portland, Oregon, but Southern Nevada has been my home for the last thirty years. I graduated with my Bachelor’s in Social Work from Brigham Young University and have worked with various populations, including case work, drug rehabs, psychiatric hospitals, and as a middle school social worker. After taking time off to be home with my children, I went back to school for my MSW and will graduate in December from the University of Nevada, Reno. I use CBT, DBT, ACT, and Motivational Interviewing, and prefer a solution-focused, person-centered approach with clients. Helping youth navigate the teen years is my favorite. I have also been blessed with a daughter who has Down Syndrome and am very active in the special needs community, including helping start Aspire Center for Adolescents and Adults of Moapa Valley, a 501(c)(3) focused on vocational training, life and social skills, community integration, and family support. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, attending sporting events, reading, going to the beach, and traveling.
